Working closely with the early adopter team, we explored several structuring options, from per-data-product models to per-team approaches, ensuring the set-up could support both current and future needs. We delivered the initial metastore configuration and provided training, materials, and automation scripts to streamline the management of storage accounts and external locations.

The result is a scalable and secure Unity Catalog environment that strengthens data governance across the organisation. The early adopter team successfully paved the way for wider implementation, demonstrating how a well-structured approach can support DNB’s broader data ambitions.
