Mercedes-Benz x RevoData: Strengthening the data foundation behind next-generation mobility
Mercedes-Benz, the renowned German automobile manufacturer, set out to modernise its data infrastructure to support the next generation of operational reporting, analytics, and machine learning.
With growing demands across the organisation, they needed a platform that offered flexibility, scalability, and the ability to process and manage data at greater speed and efficiency.
To meet these ambitions and led by RevoData, Mercedes-Benz transitioned from its on-premise Oracle environment to Databricks, enabling a unified and powerful platform for data transformation and analytics. Talend was phased out, with Databricks taking over all ETL workflows, while Power BI was introduced to strengthen reporting capabilities. This shift created a streamlined, cloud-based foundation designed for both present needs and future innovation.
By moving to Databricks, Mercedes-Benz unlocked greater value from its data and enabled stronger collaboration across teams. The new architecture supports the development of cutting-edge, data-driven solutions and positions the organisation to continue innovating at the forefront of the automotive industry.
